Epson to Launch World’s Smallest Printer

Last Updated on June 15, 2020 by Christian Ralph

The smallest ever commercial A4 printer has been developed by Epson, and will go on sale later this year. Barely wider than an A4 sheet of paper, the printer also claims to be the lightest on the market.

The Japanese manufacturers have produced the Epson Workforce WF-100W to help mobile workers print out small numbers of invoices, designs and other documentation. Weighing just 1.6KG, and with a rechargeable battery, the WF-100W is ideal for use on-the-go. The battery can be recharged using an AC adaptor or via the USB port.epson printer
Not to skimp on features, the printer comes complete with a built-in LCD display, allowing users to clearly monitor progress and status. The WF-100W can connect via WiFi or as a networked printer – alternatively printing can be completed via the Epson app or utilising the Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint compatibility.

The printer’s tray can hold up to 50 sheets of paper and uses 2 ink cartridges and pigment ink during the printing process.

Epson has long been dedicated to pushing the limits of small printer development, releasing the world’s first mini-printer, the EP-101, in 1968.
