HP have added JetIntelligence functionality to the LaserJet Pro M477fdn to accommodate the printing of additional pages. With a normal print speed of up to 28ppm, the printer is capable of completing a high volume of prints every day. This is complemented by the top scan speed of up to 26ppm and copy speeds of up to 28ppm.

A. The HP LaserJet Pro M477fdn has the ability to scan originals as a searchable PDF which uses OCR to convert the image into searchable and editable text. This model is also compatible with a Mac operating system.

Great printer

Our laserjet printer packed in so I recommended this printer, as I used it with a previous employer. It does everything we need (prints quickly, double sided, scans and has feeder) and is great value for money.
An excellent printer with excellent service

We've owned HP printers for years because we've never had reason to change (so knowledge of other makes very limited). We decided to upgrade from our venerable but still working B&W laser to a colour one. HP do a good range of options and this one suits us - though it would be nice not to have the Fax option as it has no real purpose in the modern SOHO world. Worked straight out of the box, Delivery and help from Printerland was excellent and customer support answered the questions over delivery promptly.

Probably overkill for home use, but it replaces both a colour laser and a duplex b&w laser so great for saving space. It scans directly from the printer to the computer (no more putting the original on the scanner, then going to the computer to run the scan software). And lastly, it's an HP. I don't know whether that's good or not, but ime the more expensive HPs were always solid pieces of kit. I'm hoping that's true of this one.

Good job from printerland, came next working day and they even added it to an existing delivery as it was quite late. the printer sets up from the screen provided, found wireless net work on its own and set itself up so by the time my computer software was installed it just took me to the test page. haven't checked out the A3 yet as the printer asked the main tray to have A4 during set up. for once inserting the cartridges was a doddle. probably the longest task out of the whole set up was removing all the protective packaging and stickers.

Firstly Printerland - advice, price and delivery all without fault. Will definitely use again. The MFP M477 took about an hour to unpack, install and configure and the print quality and speed are very good. Haven't done any solid colours or complex graphics yet but for the money that's not what I bought it for. However the instructions do not refer to what happens on the printer screen read out, HP tech support don't answer their 'phones and their website is rubbish. very disappointing as I need multiple users to access this. do not buy if a USB connection is not for you, but if it is all seems good.

Ordered just before 4pm one day and arrived before noon the following day, what can you say about that level of service. I even had a phone call letting me know that they were about to despatch and making sure that I was happy that I had everything I needed. Also explained the cashback and extra warranty offers. Product itself was so easy to install and setup, took less that an hour overall. Great service and I will be back to printerland as well as recommending them to my friends and colleagues.

What is AirPrint?

Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.

To take advantage of AirPrint, your compatible printer must be connected to the same wireless network as your iOS device or Mac computer.

AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.

What You See is What You Print

If you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.

Third-Party Apps

There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. By sharing a printer installed on an Apple Mac or Windows Pc over a wireless network any printer may be able to take advantage of the AirPrint features. (An additional third-party app may be required to be installed on the local machine)
