  • Hi, Can this print on large scale transparencies A2+ (can these be purchased on a roll?) and what is the thickest A3 paper stock that this can print on please. Thank you

Hi, the HP DesignJet T120 can print on translucent bond paper which comes in an A1 size, however we don't stock this type of media here at Printerland. The HP DesignJet T120 does have an A3 and A4 manual sheet feed located at the back, which can hold around 50 sheets of A3 and A4 plain and normal paper. We recommend calling our Sales Team on 0800 840 1992 and a member of the team will help and advise you on this printer.

  • I am looking for an A1 printer to print out large spreadsheets from Excel. The HP T120 appears to meet my criteria. The HP Specification Sheet advises Line Drawings print at 40 A1 prints per hour, while Colour Images print at 22.4 square metres per hour. Will this printer accept spreadsheet images produced by Excel as Line Drawings or would it only produce spreadsheet images at the far slower Colour Images rate. Secondly, I would think most buyers of this product would use this as a CAD Plotter. What percentage of your customers have bought this machine to print spreadsheets. Thanks for your assistance.

Hi, the HP DesignJet T120 will accept spreadsheet images produced by Excel as line drawings. You can change the presets on the machine to fast, draft, normal or best mode. As an Excel spreadsheet is a simple image, this would work ok on fast mode. Unfortunately we don't have information on what our customers are using this machine for.

  • Sorry also how long is the manufacturers warranty??

Hi, the HP DesignJet T120 comes with a One-year limited hardware warranty.

  • Does the printer come with a paper roll spindle included or does this have to be bought seperately?

Hi, the paper roll spindle for the HP DesignJet T120 isn't provided in the box, you can purchase the HP DesignJet T120 Spindle separate.

  • Can you use this with fanfold paper?

Unfortunately, the HP DesignJet T120 does not handle Fanfold or continuous paper, doing so could cause jamming issues. However, we do sell Dot Matrix printers which Fanfold media is designed for, you can view all available options here.

  • Are the T120's A1 prints* - colour images + text, for example, colour fast when used in an externally situated A frame, or as part of a display in a retailer's main shop window (showing to street, not a mall); or would these prints be subject to fade, and if so how quickly? *Based on advertised compatible inks

Much depends on the individual situation, and direct sunlight may speed up the process though original HP inks are tested to the best industry standards and provide a number of years (even decades) of light-fastness when situated within glass displays. We'd always recommend sticking with Original HP inks as they provide up to 50 times more durability than cheaper alternatives.

  • I can see that I can buy the cartridges separately which is great. Do you do a pack price though at a reduced cost as I have a Lexmark printer and I know you do that for that particular printer.

Yes, the HP 711 Ink Value Pack is the bundle pack that is available for the HP Designjet T120.
