  • Nigel Britten 19 March 2013 5 / 5 Value 5 Features 5 Quality 5 Performance 5 Excellent Product & service

Purchased this Epson multifunction printer in December. Having previously used HP and Ricoh the Epson is excellent value, very easy to set up, and quite simply the best and most user friendly printer I've owned. Printerland service has also been exemplary, polite friendly and very responsive to their customers - the first printer arrived and wasn't working, so they arranged for a replacement which arrived next day. I'd recommend both Epson and Printerland without hesitation - in fact I've just ordered another Epson.

  • Colin Walls 28 January 2013 5 / 5 Value 5 Features 5 Quality 5 Performance 5 Internet Purchase

Product competively priced, when compared to others. Delivery within less that 48 hours from time of placing order. All done effortlessly via the internet.

  • A Morris 14 December 2012 5 / 5 Value 5 Features 5 Quality 5 Performance 5 Excellent

Printer was so easy and simple to install and set up on wifi - instructions and automated set up wizard was simplicity in itself. Printer is fast, quiet, easy to use. Would recommend, very impressed.

What is AirPrint?

Apple AirPrint allows full colour, top-quality printing from iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads directly from within many Apps available from the Apple App Store.

To take advantage of AirPrint, your compatible printer must be connected to the same wireless network as your iOS device or Mac computer.

AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly from within applications on Apple devices to AirPrint Compatible Printers connected to a wireless network. You can use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to easily print via Airprint without the need to install drivers or configure the printer queue. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.

What You See is What You Print

If you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.

Third-Party Apps

There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. By sharing a printer installed on an Apple Mac or Windows Pc over a wireless network any printer may be able to take advantage of the AirPrint features. (An additional third-party app may be required to be installed on the local machine)

*For full AirPrint support, a printer firmware upgrade may be required which is available directly from the relevant manufacturer website.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the above information is correct at the time of publication, Printerland will not be held responsible for the content of any third-party software suggested on this site and usage of any such software is at the users own risk. Scalable Printing Solution for Business

Google Cloud Print is used internally by Google employees on hundreds of printers and is designed to scale to your business demands, growing with your business or as a replacement for your existing printing infrastructure.

Epson’s giant WorkForce WF-3530DTWF looks every inch the business printer. The sturdy chassis has room for dual paper trays, each capable of holding 250 sheets.

There’s a built-in fax modem, Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi, automatic duplexing and a 30-sheet ADF. The only thing lacking is a touchscreen, which makes navigating the menus and entering wireless keys a bit of a faff. The 6.3cm colour LCD is clear and bright, however.

The Epson claims to rival laser devices for both running costs and speed. Affordable high-yield ink cartridges take care of the former claim, providing mono prints for 2p – less than even the most affordable laser printers we've seen. At 7.1p, colour prints are also competitive, but 6 x 4in photos cost a pricey 20p each.

Not surprisingly, quality takes a back seat in favour of speed. Draft prints emerged at a nippy 18.8ppm, but the results were akin to that of an aged dot-matrix printer. Upping quality to normal settings improved matters, but output dropped to 14.6ppm, and still lacked clarity.

Copying is spritely, with acceptable draft-quality copies flung out in nine seconds, but scanning is the Epson’s strongest suit. Here it combines speed and quality, with 200ppi colour A4 scans taking only 16 seconds each.

As you might expect, photo printing isn’t one of the Epson’s hidden talents. Contrast is good, but prints lack the rich colours of the best consumer inkjets, and a thick grain obscures fine detail. Prints are slow, too, with 6 x 4in photos taking 2mins 9secs.

It’s no photo specialist, and it can’t produce the best-quality documents, but the WorkForce WF-3530DTWF’s priorities lie elsewhere. It’s quick, feature-packed and running costs are low. That makes the Epson a great choice for a small office.
