A standalone label terminal, the Epson TM-C3400-LT can print on demand custom coloured tickets, wristbands and labels, such as prescription labels for health care. The print on demand ethos results in cost savings compared to pre-printing. Printing in this way means that there is no label wastage and there is an elimination of the need for stock management.
The label terminal can print onto glossy coated or matte labels, including various types of synthetic media. Print substrates include black mark paper and labels, continuous paper and labels and die cut labels.
The plug and play printing terminal is easy to use and the terminal incorporates a 90° tilting TFT touchscreen. This can be set and adjusted to the perfect viewing angle. A Windows operating system is pre-installed and this negates the need for a connected PC. The software suite includes all necessary software utilities and printer drivers.
Epson print technology
The Epson print technology includes patented nozzle checking technology (AID) and this senses and then fixes printer nozzle clogs and dead pixels in barcodes. DURABrite Ultra pigment inks are supplied and these are fast drying and resistant to fading, smudging, water and other liquids.
The Epson TM-C3400-LT has been engineered to reliably print at a speed of 92mm per second at 360 x 180 dots per inch, across a printing width of 56mm. The maximum printing width is 104mm and this can be achieved at a quality of 720 x 360 dots per inch.
The Epson TM-C3400-LT has an all in one design with a conveniently small footprint. The label terminal is designed to withstand the rigours of a business environment with splash resistance and a dustproof case (IP5X), along with a moisture and dirt-resistant touchscreen. All functions are accessible from the front and this makes it fast and convenient to replace consumables.
