Great Replacement For Inkjet Printer When Using Linux
Brother is one of the manufacturers that have good support for those with computers using Linux. This is a cost effective colour laser printer from this manufacturer that prints double sided copies and scans with great results. Upsides are that following the Brother web instructions it is relatively easy to add the printer to your Linux machine even for a newcomer like me. Then you can scan to pc simply by pressing button on printer. Tips a Use the printer menu to get the WiFi connected b Set pc to automatically run scan program at boot if you want it to always be there else run it manually. Downsides - not found any yet. Remember if you have to it will work with Windows systems as well

After trawling the internet looking for this printer and some like it I discovered the Printerland website. The price I paid was the cheapest I had found and the ordering process was very easy. There was an issue with payment but a quick call to customer services sorted that out. Very quick delivery the order was placed on the Friday and printer was delivered early Monday morning.

Good All Round
Have used earlier versions of this A3 printer scanner fax machine before and have always found them simple to connect up operate and maintain. This one works slightly differently from my last one but not difficult to work out although I am still coming to terms with paper sizing in some modes. Overall a good buy and excellent service.

Telephone query about which functions were A3 was answered quickly by a knowledgeable person. Printer ordered on Friday pm and was delivered Saturday lunchtime all without endless emails and text's. The printer itself is as advertised. It took a while to set up but the quick set up instructions were easy to follow. Main instruction book is on line not a hard copy. This is a much more robust printer than the A3 brother which it has replaced. JP
