Precision print heads

Lexmark build their print heads directly into the cartridge. The wafer-thin print chip is covered with a polymer nozzle plate, which is the key to Lexmark's high print quality. Each nozzle is drilled to be just one-seventh the size of a human hair, and it's these tiny nozzles that place the ink on the page with extreme precision, controlling droplet size and trajectory of the ink to give a professional finish, whatever paper you're using.
