All genuine Lexmark inks are developed in-house and rigorously tested before they reach the market for safety and outstanding colour quality. More than 30 tests are used to determine functionality and reliability, and to test for qualities like drying speed and fade resistance. However, Lexmark inks depend on precision engineered print head technology to deliver high impact colour and monochrome printing.
The print heads are built directly into the cartridge on a wafer-thin chip that is then covered with a polymer nozzle plate. Microscopic nozzle holes are precision drilled using surgical grade instruments to be one-seventh the diameter of a human hair. These tiny nozzles are the key to controlling ink droplet size and trajectory, which allows the ink to be very precisely placed on the page for exceptional print quality in documents, graphics and photographs.
