The Deskjet 5850 inkjet printer from HP boasts a number of useful features that make it an ideal addition to the home office or workplace. Unusually for an inket printer, the 5850 is fully wireless as standard, so you can print to it from anywhere in your office. The printer will also automatically calibrate the print heads when you need to change from black ink to photo-quality ink and, once this has been done once, it never needs to do it again. It delivers high-quality photorealistic prints, when used in conjunction with decent photo paper, and even comes with a bunch of tools built in to help you remove things like red-eye, or to alter contrast and shadows on the image.
Easy to change
Changing the ink cartridges in the HP Deskjet 5850 inkjet printer is a simple job, as the black, the photo-ink, and the tricolour cartridges all pop out with the gentle application of pressure and the new cartridges slip in just as easily, with a satisfying click. The machine automatically calibrates for new cartridges, aligning the print heads where necessary.
Your cartridge options
There are two basic cartridges you need to keep your HP Deskjet 5850 inkjet printer running – the black and the tricolor (which contains the traditional Cyan, Yellow and Magenta inks). These offer print yields of between 280 and 520 and 240 and 420 pages respectively.

Recycle your old cartridges

If you get in touch with HP, they will arrange for free pickup and/or delivery of your used cartridges, and recycle them safely.
