Our genuine Epson FX 1180 Dot Matrix Printer Ink Cartridges are designed especially for this printer and come in the traditional impact printer ribbon format. As such, they get the very most from the device - both in terms of its results and its day to day smooth running - and ensure its longevity while they do so. They are also very efficient, with very high yields that reduce the waste and downtime for the device, while the low operating temperatures reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. This is a vast improvement on generic consumables, which are wasteful, inefficient and potentially dangerous for your device.

Quick ink changes

To change the ink ribbon, begin by ensuring your device is off, unplugged and fully cooled. Next, remove the printer cover followed by the paper tension unit, which can be achieved by lifting the tabs on either side. Next, move the print head, if cool, to the centre of the printer by hand, and remove any empty cartridge by its handle. Unpack your new item and remove the slack by turning the knob anti-clockwise, before inserting it into its allotted space - fully aligning the hooks - and guide the ribbon between the print head and ribbon guide with a pointed implement. Replace the cover and switch on the device - it will then be ready to operate.
