Voice Activated Printing with Amazon Alexa
Once you’ve enabled the HP Printer Skill from your Amazon Alexa app printing becomes just as easy as talking. You can print various pre-formatted documents such as shopping lists, calendars, puzzles or even colouring pages - and all you need to do is ask!
How to Print
Firstly, you’d need to obtain your HP printers email address to link it to Alexa. This can be located via your printers control panel, or by printing off a Web Services information sheet.
Now you can enable the HP Print Skill from your smartphone or tablet using the Alexa App, or you can enable this skill via the Amazon website if you’re using a computer.
Then all you need to do is enter the email address for you printer, tap finish and start printing.
You can now ask your Echo or other Alexa device to print straight to your HP printer:
“Alexa, ask my Printer to…” and then follow with the content you wish to print. It’s as simple as that.

Your Alexa device must be set up and connected to your local network, and your HP printer must also be connected to the same local network. This can be by an Ethernet cable or a wireless connection. Please note: The HP Print skill will not work with USB connected printers.
Your printer must also support HP ePrint and Web Services as this cloud-based service is what allows you to print with an Amazon Alexa device.
