Are non-genuine cartridges a savvy choice?

In a word, no. Although their cost may seem attractive, it's worth considering the advantages of genuine HP cartridges. Non-genuine consumables can't match HP for quality, and they won't print out 100% of their stated yield either, as HP cartridges have done under BLI lab test conditions. A non-genuine cartridge can also compromise the reliable functioning of your printer, causing malfunctions and even permanent damage that your printer warranty may not cover.
