The Ricoh SPC830/SPC831 colour printer series provides small and medium-sized companies with a high-performance colour printer which offers ultra-fast print speeds up to 45 ppm at a maximum resolution of 1200x1200 dpi. But to get the full benefit from the SPC830/SPC831 series you may want to consider tailoring it to your specific print environment using one of Ricoh’s OEM accessories.
Professional-style document production
Ricoh’s range of booklet finishers allows you to turn your SPC830/SPC831 series printers into a cost-effective booklet creation tool. With 15 and 50-sheet options available you can create professionally bound brochures without the need to contract a third party printer. Doing this work in house allows you to print on demand, reducing the need to stockpile brochures in order to make use of volume discounts, and also reduces ink and paper usage.
Expandable memory to increase efficiency
There is nothing more frustrating than clicking print only for there to be a large delay before your document comes out. With many large files, this is a common problem, but it is easily fixed by increasing the amount of onboard memory. Memory expansion sticks are available in both 512MB and 1GB which can be used to increase memory up to a maximum of 1.5GB. More than enough for even the most demanding print jobs.
Increased media handling for large production runs
When you have a printer capable of large print runs you need to make sure you upgrade the media-handling capacity to keep up with demand. The SPC830/SPC831 series can be fitted with a range of expansion trays which increase the standard 1,200-sheet capacity up to a maximum of 4,400 sheets. This also allows you to automatically feed covers and pages from separate trays without having to reload the printer during booklet creation.
A separate 1,200-sheet feeder is also available for offices that have high-volume print requirements. This separate feeder, which sits alongside the printer, can contain a single media type, such as plain paper or letterhead, and reduces the need to continually reload the printer during the day. When combined, feeder trays and expansion trays greatly expand the capabilities of your printer, giving you similar performance to a professional-grade printer but without the associated cost.
