The Brother MFC L8900 multifunction printer is designed for high-volume printing environments that require a reliable multifunction high-speed printer combined with fax, copy and scan functionality. While the MFC L8900 comes with a range of increased productivity features out of the box, such as automatic duplexing and integrated NFC card reader, this functionality can be extended further by fitting one of the official Brother media handling and security accessories.

Extensive media handling options for improved productivity

The Brother MFC L8900 can be fitted with super high yield toner cartridges which can print up to 9000 pages from a single cartridge. When combined with the high-speed 31 ppm print engine, the MFC L8900 will get through the standard 300-sheet tray in a little under 10 minutes.

So if you regularly print large multipage documents, you may want to consider upgrading the standard media capacity using one of the optional input trays. There are multiple tray options which allow you to tailor your printer to suit your exact printing requirements.

A single 250-sheet paper tray can be added which nearly doubles the standard capacity to 550 sheets, or you can add a single 500-sheet tray which raises total capacity to 800 sheets. For offices that require even more volume, up to four 520-sheet paper trays can be added to provide a total capacity of 2380 sheets.

Brother card reader holder for secure printing environments

Card readers from manufacturers such as HID provide an extra level of security in workplaces that print classified documents such as government facilities or financially sensitive documents such as accounting or law firms.

The Brother card reader holder provides support for third-party external smart card readers which, when combined with the Secure Print functionality of your Brother MFC L8900, provide a printer that satisfies the highest levels of print security.
