  • Can headed paper be put into the multi purpose tray so we can easily switch between headed paper and plain?

Yes, this will work fine.In order for there to be no problems the headed paper you are using should have been printed using a laser printer.

  • Samsung CLP-775ND A4 Colour Laser Printer, can I get a scanner to use with this printer? I would like to be able to scan directly to the printer, without using my computer. If not via the computer?

The Samsung CLP-775ND is not compatible with scanning as the printer is only a single function machine. However, the Samsung Xpress C1860FW is a similar machine to the CLP-775ND but the C1860FW is a multifunction version. Scanning is compatible on this machine and is available to scan directly to PC, emails and USB.

  • is there any attachment i can buy to make this printer scan/copy also?

  • Will Lloyd 05 April 2018 1 / 5 Value 1 Features 1 Quality 1 Performance 1 Appalling Machine

Do not touch Samsung with a barge pole! After many years of using OKI printers (very satisfactorily) I wanted a better value printer. What a false economy this has proved to be as the colour prints bleed appallingly making them nigh on useless. We had a dodgy cyan cartridge that after only a handful of months from brand new (both the machine and inks) started bleeding. Printerland were great but Samsung were useless. It took 6 weeks plus to get this sorted and Samsung initially wouldn't swap the ink cartridge because we had used over 50%.....we had 49% left ! Well a year and a half later the whole thing has gone to mush with the colour bleeding really badly. Life's too short to complain again (and now out of warranty) so avoid Samsung printers and buy quality!

  • Graham Beckett 16 January 2018 2.75 / 5 Value 3 Features 3 Quality 3 Performance 2 Avoid at all costs!!

I bought this printer to replace an ageing Dell Colour laser that had served us faithfully for about 8 years. This printer is not a patch on the Dell. The print quality from new was poor, and has got progressively worse, but the biggest complaint is that the toner consumption is appalling. We are not a heavy user (office with 6 people) however I chose this model on the basis that the running costs would be low. What a joke! It is costing us around twice as much to run as the Dell. Very poor effort from Samsung, I shall not be buying another one of their printers.

  • Jessica 16 January 2018 2.25 / 5 Value 2 Features 3 Quality 2 Performance 2 Don't buy it

We bought two of these in Summer 2017 on the advice of Printerland as equivalent to our old Kyocera’s but more economical. Print quality is generally poor but inconsistent. Sometimes quite fine and 'draft' looking, sometimes quite bold; as if too much ink was used. We've already had an engineer out for one of them as the MP tray feed stopped working. After about a month the MP tray was fixed but meanwhile the other printer was printing a vertical grey line down the side of every page and is now having the same issues with the MP tray and will not print Back to Back docs without shredding the paper and jamming. Another engineer visit to be arranged. Not happy. Would not buy these again and it does put me off other Samsungs and advice from Printerland!

  • Anita 19 December 2017 4 / 5 Value 4 Features 4 Quality 3 Performance 5 OK - Did do a good job.

Very good printer to start with, printed large volumes of double sided printing without problems for a couple of years. However once the fuser started failing it was then that I learnt that the cost of the fuser plus the cost of getting an engineer to come out and replace it (you can't change the fuser yourself!!) is the same as buying a whole new printer! So was good while it lasted.

  • Nic Adair 01 July 2017 2.5 / 5 Value 3 Features 2 Quality 3 Performance 2 Good Printer but SUB only.

Quite a good printer but be aware it must have a SUB connection at all times to function, WiFi is not an option.

  • Denis 26 June 2017 4.25 / 5 Value 5 Features 4 Quality 4 Performance 4 Samsung CLP-775ND

I was very satisifed with the service provided by Printerland, including an aftersales call to clarify the status of the wifi connection and to chaeck it would wortk for me. So far, I'm happy with the printer as it is providing me with good quality back drops on glossy paper and sticky-backed transparencies. The printer options are a bit vague (thick, thicker, thickest) rather than speciying the weight of the paper - but it seems to work okay. Downsides are: the size and weight of the printer (not portable) and the lack of a manual feed tray. Overall I am happy with it though.

  • Gary 23 May 2017 5 / 5 Value 5 Features 5 Quality 5 Performance 5 Great Price - Great Service

Having owned and used Samsung colour laser printers from back in the 550 series I through to 660 and 770 I had no reason to consider changing to a different brand. The price for a 775 was great and we could even use our current supply of toner from our 770 machine. Add to this a superb price on toner if purchased at the same time it was a no brainer. Order confirmed after 2pm on Monday and delivered to our office before 10 am on Tuesday. That's a great price and a great service in my book.

BLI Recommendation

The Samsung CLP-775ND, as tested with a modification (incorporated at serial number 14HEBAJB500145Y), was an outstanding performer over its 145,000-impression test. A lower than average purchase price and supplies cost per page make the unit a budget friendly choice, while providing excellent overall output in color and black modes and faster-than-average speeds.
While users can benefit from above feedback to workstations, administrators will be able to more easily manage the unit and a mixed fleet of hardware-Samsung and compatible devices-via SyncThru Web Service and SyncThru Web Admin service, repectively.
Other high-lights include a high standard memory capacity; standard automatic duplexing, which contributes to less paper waste; and toner-save modes in the drivers, which helps extend the life of the print cartridges.
BLI highly recommends the Samsung CLP-775ND for small to mid-size workgroups with monthly print volumes of up to 5,000 impressions.
