When the Epson Workforce WF-2630WF is in scan mode, you can select the format in which to save the scanned image. You can select the scan area yourself, but the printer also features an 'Auto-Cropping' setting which will crop the white space around the text or image when scanning. The quality of the scan will always be the same as the Optical Resolution of the scanner is 1200 x 2400 dpi

This model can handle a maximum paper thickness of 95gsm and unfortunately this cannot be increased.

To run two different machines off this model you will need to ensure that the printer and both iMacs are connected to the same wi-fi network. This will enable wireless printing from both the computers. Therefore, yes you will need to connect both via wi-fi.
