The Pixma Pro-200 seems to be almost identical to the Pro-300 apart from using dye based inks instead of pigment inks and hence is excellent value. Looking at reviews online most people wouldn't notice the difference. Unpacking and setting up the printer was very straightforward. So far I have found the my prints to be both vibrant and excellent all round. I am more than pleased

Clever software enhances the printer
As the title says the clever software that comes with the printer for free really enhances the printer. Xerox Smart start installs the printer in just a couple of minutes and you also get something called Print and Scan experience. I haven t used this for printing yet but have used it plenty of times for scanning and the more I use it the more features I find. A personal favourite is the remove blank pages option which does what it suggests however it s a feature you won t truly appreciate until you have used it. It really well thought out and helps the user as it should.

I needed a new colour printer but it was for my home office so couldn t be too big.
